A Supabase alternative, with the rest of the backend built in
Supabase gives you Postgres, auth and an API. Anythink gives you the database, REST API and sign-in too, plus the parts you'd otherwise bolt on: subscriptions with Apple in-app purchases, visual workflows, a dedicated search engine, push notifications and dashboards. All of it runs on one data model, in one project.

● Built in◐ Add-on, extension or DIY recipe– Not available? Not confirmed
Based on Supabase's public documentation, checked 28 September and 3 October 2026. An add-on means an extension, a partner integration or a recipe you build and run yourself.
What you'd add to Supabase, already in Anythink
The jobs that usually mean an extension, a webhook recipe or a second vendor alongside Supabase.
Subscriptions without a sync engine
Plans, trials and offer codes on Stripe, and Apple in-app purchases verified on the server, land on the same subscriber record. No Stripe sync engine or webhook recipe to run.
Workflows instead of edge-function glue
Trigger on a record change, a schedule, a manual run or an API call, then send email or push, call an API, run a script or use Claude, OpenAI or Grok, all in a visual editor.
A real search engine, not just full-text
Every project gets Meilisearch: typo tolerance, facets, highlighting, geo radius and distance sort, kept in step with your records. No PostGIS or separate search service.
Access control down to the field
Roles with per-entity permissions, field-level security per role, and row-level access for users and groups that workflows can set when a record is created.
Dashboards on your app data
Bar, line, funnel and cohort charts, materialised views that join payment data, and grid, Kanban, map and calendar views for your team, without a separate BI tool.
Built for AI assistants
The Anythink MCP server and Claude Code skill let an assistant model your data, build workflows and query records. The dashboard's AI chat uses the same tools.
Which one fits
Choose Anythink if
You're shipping a product that charges money, sends notifications and runs automations, and you'd rather configure those than assemble them. You want your data model to drive the API, the dashboard and the access rules, and you want an AI assistant to be able to run the whole backend.
Choose Supabase if
You want direct SQL access to Postgres or to self-host, or you need realtime today; realtime is planned for Anythink. Those are real strengths, and Anythink doesn't offer them yet.
Moving across
Model your tables as entities in the Anythink dashboard or with the CLI, import your rows from CSV with saved column mappings, then point your app at the generated REST API. Sign-in providers, roles and workflows are set up per project.
Frequently Asked Questions
Is Anythink a good Supabase alternative?
It is if you want subscriptions, workflows, search, push notifications and dashboards built in rather than added on. If you need direct SQL access, realtime subscriptions or self-hosting today, Supabase is the better fit.
Does Anythink use Postgres?
Yes, your data is stored in Postgres. You work with it through entities, the generated REST API, the CLI and the Anythink dashboard rather than raw SQL.
Does Anythink have realtime like Supabase?
Not yet. Realtime subscriptions are planned. Today your app reads and writes through the REST API, and workflows react to every record change on the server.
Can I move my Supabase data to Anythink?
Yes. Recreate your tables as entities, export each table to CSV and import it with saved column mappings. The REST API for each entity is live as soon as it's saved.
How does pricing compare?
Every Anythink plan includes every feature, including workflows, search, push and payments, and you start free. See the pricing page for usage limits on each plan.
